About Mission Accessibility:
Mission Accessibility is a not-for-profit non-governmental organization founded by 2 blind lawyers, Rahul Bajaj and Amar Jain. Our core object is to ensure that Persons with Disability enjoy full, equal and barrier free participation in society. We achieve this object through Strategic Intervention, Grievance Redressal , Sensitization and Capacity building.
Since our founding in October 2022, we have spearheaded numerous impactful interventions in the areas of Digital Accessibility, Media Accessibility, Access to Justice, Access to Education as also strengthening the institutional framework under Indian Disability law. To this end, we have secured pathbreaking judgements in the Supreme Court, Delhi High Court and the Chief Commissioner of Persons with Disabilities. We have also collaborated with diverse stakeholders viz. Government, law courts, like minded NGOs, Corporates and civil society to realize our mission.
About the Event:
Mission Accessibility was officially registered as a non-profit under Indian company law on 10th October, 2022. Our inaugural Annual day in October 2023 was a memorable occasion for all involved. We look forward to celebrating our second Annual Day with equal zest.
The Annual Day celebrations would encompass the following key elements—
1. A short presentation about the organization and its work in the last year by Team MA.
2. Delivery of the 2nd mission accessibility annual lecture by Dr. Justice S. Muralidhar, former Chief Justice, Orissa High Court and Strategic Advisor, Mission Accessibility.
3. Flash talks by luminaries in the field of accessibility and inclusion of Persons with Disability.
4. Delivery of 3 awards in the following categories—
a.) Trailblazer in Accessibility- Private sector.
b.) Trailblazer in Accessibility- Public sector; and
c.) Budding Disability rights Champion.
