The GNLU Centre for Environment, Sustainability, and Climate Justice (GCESCJ) is dedicated to promoting research, policy development, and community engagement on environmental sustainability and climate justice. The Centre actively addresses complex environmental issues through interdisciplinary projects and collaborations, while also integrating legal frameworks to advance equitable solutions for a sustainable future.

Climate change in India is intensifying health challenges, ranging from heatwaves that increase heat-related illnesses to changing climate patterns that expand the reach of vector-borne diseases like malaria and dengue. India's unique and diverse climatic regions, coupled with a vast population, make these issues particularly urgent. With healthcare systems under strain, there is a need for adaptive solutions that can manage unpredictable climate-driven health impacts.

GCESCJ invites students and innovators nationwide to participate in a one-of-a-kind hackathon exploring digital health solutions to combat climate change-induced health issues in India. This hackathon provides a platform for creative minds to devise strategies that leverage digital health technologies to address the climate and health crisis, aiming to create sustainable impacts and foster resilience across communities.

The hackathon is open to undergraduate, post-graduate, and PhD students from all disciplines. Participants can register individually or in teams of up to 4 members, with no restrictions based on the field of study.
