[STUDENTS VS UGC] SC Adjourns The Hearing To August 18 [Read The Courtroom Exchange]

Singhvi is reading out a previous UGC circular - This is the same UGC ! I am astonished.

Singhvi: Education is not special here; pandemic here is special. Pandemic applies to everyone and everything. If NDMA says that don’t have physical courts, can I come and say that I have this right and that right ?

Singhvi: If you give a casual answer, my learned friend will say that online was on. But, nowhere are you saying that full-fledged exams are going to take place !

Singhvi: In no circular are you warning the students that the exams will take place. Now come to the July circular of MHA.

He refers to June 29, 2020 circular of MHA. 

Singhvi: Mindless use of Article 14 ! MHA’s directives under DMA are binding under every small district ! 

J. Shah states that MHa is not concerned with the exams itself.

Singhvi states that for 5 months, MHA has shut everything.

“There is a direct nexus between teaching and taking of exams. How can there be no teaching w/o exams !”
