The SCBA Executive Committee through its resolution on January 14th resolved to conduct its elections in a hybrid form including both physical and virtual system of voting. This was followed by the Election Committee rendering its resignation in light of the SCBA's resolution. The Election Committee comprising of Senior Advocates Jaideep Gupta, Harin P. Raval and Nakul Dewan had written to the Secretary of SCBA expressing their inability in discharging their duties as the Election Committee. The Election Committee had decided to hold Elections on a digital platform and entered into discussions with NSDL to conduct elections on a virtual platform, and the same was communicated to the SCBA. The Executive Committee however, through its resolution on January 14th 2021 decided to hold the elections both virtually and physically.
Thereafter, new Committee was constituted and the elections were decided to be held virtually through online voting
