      Sibal : Your lordship is right. But California court is questioning that. They are questioning the founder's statement. That is exactly why the writ petition is filed. We want to know who operates.

      Sibal : This information is given to NSO technology. That is far more serious. This is a court finding. Nobody can dispute Pegasus inflitrates.

      Sibal refers to the suit filed by Whatsapp against NSO in California court. It reads as once activated it causes the target device to connect with the defendants malware. The malware would then enable and then data is transferred. The spyware is sold only to Govt agencies.

      CJI - the credibility of the reports and how will they be verified. After two years it has suddenly come into light.

      CJI - people who filed these petitions are resourceful should have done more research

      CJI : Im not going to facts of each and every case. Some people claim that their phones have been intercepted. You know there are provisions under the Telgraph Act, IT Act etc to file complaints. These are the things which bother us.

      CJI : Almost two years back, in May 2019, these reports came into light. I don't know if any effort was taken. Persons who have filed the writ petitions are knowledgeable persons, with resources, they should have taken more efforts.
