Over 10 Lakh Cases Settled In National Lok Adalat

About 10.19 lakh cases were settled in the first National Lok Adalat of 2019 held on March 9,2019 across the country under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority. The settled cases include 5.45 lakh pending and 4.73 prelitigation cases.

In the year 2019, four National Lok Adalats will be held. Second National Lok Adalat is scheduled for 13th July.

National Lok Adalats are held on PAN India basis, where pre-litigation and pending cases are taken for settlement. In 2018, about 47 lakh cases were disposed of in National Lok Adalats, which included about 21 lakh pending cases and 26 lakh pre-litigation cases.
