    The Guahati High Court has launched an online tool 'Online Court Proceeding Services' for virtual hearings.

    Online Court Proceeding Services is simple yet robust software platform that provides extensive functionality to manage the Court proceedings through online mode. It enables video conferencing with the help of any video conferencing tool such as Google Meet, Webex, Zoom, etc., along with availability of case files for the Judges and other Court staff in downloadable PDF format. This unique platform offers customised dashboard for Judges, Court staff and registered Learned Advocates for smooth conduct of Court proceedings in a virtual mode. With this standardized platform, all the learned Advocates having cases in the Principal Seat of the High Court can argue their cases virtually, without physically coming to the Court premises.

    The Online Court Proceeding Services developed by the e-Courts Division of the High Court was launched on 31.05.2021.




     


    The main objectives of this platform are:

    • To minimize the footfall in Court premises during the present COVID-19 pandemic situation.
    • Smooth virtual Court proceedings.
    • To provide a simple interface that allows all the stakeholders of the
    • Court to join the Court proceedings online with the click of a button.
    • To provide softcopies of case files to the Hon'ble Judges and other Court staff in their respective dashboards.
    • To provide Work from Home facility to the stakeholders.

    The platform is created using Open Source Technologies as per the guidelines of the eCourts project phase-II policy document of the eCommittee, Hon'ble Supreme Court of India.

    The platform covers every stakeholder to run a Court smoothly through online mode. The dashboard of the platform contains five categories of the stakeholders to login into the system as mentioned below:

    1. Judges Panel.

    2. Advocate Login Panel.

    3. AG/ AAG/ PP/ APP/ Others.

    4. Court Master/ Private Secretary Login.

    5. Bench/ Filing Section Login.

    1. Judges Panel : Hon'ble Judges can login to the platform through their respective user id and password. All the Hon'ble Judges are provided with a customized dashboard. Lordships can view the cause list of their respective Court and case records of each case in pdf format. Lordships can preside the Court proceedings online by clicking the single bench VC link or divisional bench VC link, as the case may be.

    2. Advocate Login Panel: The Learned Advocates registered with Case Information System (CIS) of the Hon'ble High Court can easily login to the system with the help of their Bar Council Enrolment Number. After a successful OTP verification process through their registered mobile number, Learned Advocates can enter to their individual dashboard. The customised cause list for the Learned Advocates along with the VC link for joining the Court proceeding online is provided in their dashboard.

    3. AG/ AAG/ PP/ APP/ Others: Learned Advocate General, Additional Advocate Generals, Public Prosecutors and others who are not registered in the CIS, can avail the services with the help of an instant OTP verification process using their mobile number. After successful verification, they can avail the online services by selecting the appropriate Court's panel wherein the Court's cause list along with the VC link for joining the Hon'ble Court is available.

    4. Court Master/ Private Secretary Login: The Court Masters and the Private Secretaries of the Hon'ble Judges can login with their respective user credentials and perform their requisite Court proceeding tasks online.

    5. Bench/ Filing Section Login: Using this particular login respective section of the Hon'ble High Court prepares the cases for all the stakeholders.
