    Bharati Vidyapeeth's New Law College, Pune, is a premier institute imparting quality legal education in India. The college is Re-Accreditated with “A++” Grade by National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2024. The college has ranked amongst the top law schools in the country. NLC Rank 3rd by THE WEEK Magazine, June 2024, 4th rank by Outlook, July 2024. According to the IIRF 2024 rankings, the college stands 2nd in the state and 3rd in the nation. NLC is the recipient of 'Gold Star Award' by BCI at its Golden Jubilee Celebrations and awardees of the prestigious 'Best Legal Aid Centre Award-2019' by the Knowledge Steez, New Delhi.

    Taking forward the vision of Founder Chancellor Dr. Patangrao Kadam of a Sustainable world, the Environment Cell of the New Law College, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to Be University), Pune was constituted in the year 2019.

    Since its inception the Cell has carried out a variety of tasks ranging from a detailed study of various National and International statutes dealing with Environment, field surveys of some Protected Area Networks in the country to working in tandem with local municipal authorities in order to better understand their Waste discharge and Management techniques. Along with this, it has also maintained a regular interface with institutions like the National Green Tribunal by holding interactive sessions with students and members of the faculty alike.

    This book aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of environmental law and policy in India, highlighting the challenges and opportunities in managing the country's natural resources sustainably. By exploring the intersection of law, policy, and sustainability, 'Managing Green' seeks to equip readers with the knowledge and tools necessary to promote environmental stewardship and responsible development. To provide comprehensive and in-depth knowledge on the subject of environmental law, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) New Law College Pune's Environment Cell, invites chapters for publication of second edition of book. The title for the book is “Managing Green - II”.

    Theme: Panorama view of environmental law in India and its effectiveness.

    Sub theme:

    1. Evolution and development of environmental law in India.
    2. Conservation of forest and the law.
    3. Constitutional imperatives of environmental law.
    4. Climate change adaptation and its impact.
    5. Sustainable development and environment.
    6. Challenges and gaps in environmental law and governance in India.
    7. Assessment of pollution and the law.
    8. Bio degradable waste in India and the law.
    9. House hold Garbage waste and its management.
    10. Wildlife Protection and the Law.
    11. Conservation and management of Biodiversity in India.

    Note: In addition to above mentioned topics, authors are free to pursue any other relevant topics reflecting their interest on any topic of environment law.

    Word limit: The word limit of the chapters should be 2500-3000 words including an Abstract (in about 300-500 words)

    Submission Guidelines

    1. The chapter should be original and unpublished.
    2. The plagiarism report should not exceed 12%, and free from any grammatical, spelling and other errors.
    3. Co-authorship is allowed subject of maximum of two.
    4. Paper length should consist of 4000-6000 words.
    5. Full name of the authors along with their affiliated institution and designation must be given.
    6. APA method of citation and References must be followed.
    7. Abstract and full chapter submissions must be in Times New Roman, font size-12, line spacing- 1.5, margin 1 inch on all sides.
    8. All the footnotes must be in Times Roman font, with size 10 and line spacing l.
    9. Submitted entries must not have been sent for the consideration elsewhere for the Presenteation and Publication.
    10. The chapter must be in Word document (doc/ docx) format only.

    12. Selected chapters will be published in book with an ISBN number to the discretion of the University.
    13. Author is required to sign the copyright form and undertaking form compulsorily after the acceptance if the paper.
    14. The copyright of all the entries shall be exclusively vested with the BVDU-New Law College. The submission would imply that author has assigned such rights to the BVDU New Law College Pune.
    15. Non adherence to the guidelines for the submission may lead to the rejection of the paper.

    Deadline for Submission

    The last date for submission of the chapter is 25th February, 2025. Submissions sent after the deadline will not be considered for publication.
