Students of Institute of Law Nirma University (ILNU) have initiated a programme called Mission SanghARSH which embraces the humane idea of serving. As the name suggests, Sangh stands for ‘Unity’ and ARSH for ‘A Road Serving Humanity’. SanghARSH team has been working intensively since the last nine months to make the society a better place.
The first project was to overcome the severe problem of shortage of blood supply to patients in times of urgency. The team has already covered 42 cities in India. The idea underlying this project is to facilitate direct interaction of patients with active donors in the same or nearby localities.
The foremost concentration of the team is on educational institutes. Another project that the team Mission SanghARSH has taken up is in furtherance of disseminating knowledge and spreading awareness among people, pertaining to the available modes of grievance redressal and the schemes and programmes run by the government in order to help them in the form of legal aid and legal awareness. Further, there is a group of students from the team SanghARSH which files RTIs for matters which affect our daily life.
The team has also joined hands for the cause of kids’ development. It helps in enhancing their soft skills by conducting debates, elocutions and quizzes and also by developing the overall personality of students for their glorious careers. At present, the team has started working at Charodiprathamik Vidhalaya, situated on the outskirts of Ahmedabad. The team, on every Saturday, sends a group of 4-5 students who have experience in debating, mooting and other activities so that they can inculcate the soft skills in the students.
