MP SLSA Inaugurates 1st Phase of Legal Aid Defense Counsel System

Justice Ravi Malimath, Chief Justice, High Court of Madhya Pradesh & Patron-in-Chief, M.P. State Legal Services Authority, Jabalpur inaugurated the 1st Phase of Legal Aid Defense Counsel System in 19 Districts of M.P. Viz.- Ashoknagar, Balaghat, Barwani, Bhopal, Chhatarpur, Chhindwara, Dewas, Dhar, Guna, Jhabua, Mandla, Mandsaur, Narmadapuram, Narsingpur, Raisen, Shahdol, Shajapur, Umaria, Vidisha (M.P.) along with orientation and Capacity Building Training Programme for selected Chief & Deputy Legal Aid Defense Counsels in the presence of Justice Vivek Agarwal, Judge, High Court of M.P. and Chairman HCLSC, Jabalpur and other dignitaries.

As per NALSA's LADCS Scheme, 2022, Legal Aid Defense Counsel System is launched across the Nation, in which 19 District of M.P. were selected to implement said scheme. MPSLSA, ensured timely development of infrastructure, completion of selection process and implementation of LADCS in selected districts.
