Salve: You put a witness in the box where police is interrogating the way they interrogate an accused. They say there is no right of silence, there is no conflict.
Salve: These are matters which are covered by law.
Salve: You can go to a court and take an order to take down the content or you can go to a police officer. And since you are taking down somebody’s content, it is the principle of natural justice that you hear the person and the intermediary.

Salve: We already have provisions in IT Act which deals with measures to tackle such hateful contents. What recommendations does this committee wish to put forward?
Salve: Their point is we complaint and the union government doesn’t take action. This is a politically polarized matter and we do not wish to be a part of this.
Salve: The trouble is that a PIL is already pending on how contents can be taken down from facebook if found to be hateful. The issue is if you take down their content now, they will say it violates their right to free speech and expression.
