Court: There will be some problem. I should know what I'm hearing. In the morning I said I've to issue notice in main petition. As I understood you, I've have an interim application also. As the remand is ending tomorrow.

Singhvi: It is hitting the basic structure. Your object is to disable me and my party.

Singhvi: No section 50 PMLA statement is recorded. The arrest happens without the statement. Your lordships have said that the statement is in the nature of inquiry. It's on the basis of the material collected in the inquiry and mind applied to the material you go for arrest.

Singhvi: I'll be showing why this arrest after MCC is intended to disable a person from any active role in the elections in terms of participation and you end up scoring some sort of victory before the first vote is cast. The question I ask is, why now? Of course a CM cna be arrested but the question is timing.

Singhvi: The first submission is that although it's a matter in the realm of criminal law... It's not that I'm talking about anybody in politics being superior. But a sitting CM who is arrested a week ago on the cusp of elections. The heart of democracy is level playing field and free and fair elections.

Advocate Shadan Farasat informs court that Dr. Singhvi is having a trouble logging in the VC. At present, over 1000 people have logged in through VC.

Singhvi: Let me go in an organized fashion. My first submission is that this is a matter which impinges directly on basic structure.
