Within mere months of its establishment in September 2023, the Bihar Federation of Women Lawyers has rapidly positioned itself as a cornerstone for legal training for Advocates and Law students in Bihar.

This initiative is largely credited for introducing a culture of legal workshops within the state, supported by the Patna High Court's administration.

These workshops are bolstered by the active participation and of Judges and Senior Advocates who are contributing in training by their lectures and experiences; and are paving the way for a more enriched training landscape for the legal fraternity.

The Federation's commitment to broadening access to legal education was further exemplified in February 2024, with the launch of its YouTube channel. This platform aims to democratize access to legal knowledge, offering remote participation options for those unable to attend the workshops in person.

A notable workshop was hosted on February 23, 2024, by Justice Bibek Chaudhari and Senior Advocate Sanjay Singh. The session focused on critical discussions around Suspension of Sentence and Bail, and the implementation of Time-Bound Arguments, a recommendation from the Supreme Court to accelerate judicial processes.

Upcoming Workshop

Building on its successful series, Federation has announced an upcoming workshop that will focus on New Criminal Laws (Bhartiya Nagrik Süraksha Samhita), with Justice Rajeev Ranjan Prasad as the distinguished speaker.

Date: 5th April 2024

Time : 4:15 PM

The Bihar Federation of Women Lawyers has extended an invitation to all advocates of the Patna High Court to join these workshops. The workshop can also be attended online through youtube channel of the Federation. Visit: https://youtube.com/@BFWL_official?si=gAxOGfmYgjqu6PXi
