Department of Law, University of Kerala is organizing an International Interdisciplinary Seminar on Access to Justice: Trends and Issues. The organizers of the Seminar calls upon the legal profession, academicians from other social science disciplines , administrators, University students, young and upcoming research scholars, social activists and the representatives of governmental and nongovernmental organizations to present their research papers relevant to the themes.

Date of Seminar: January7 – January 9, 2016

Theme



  1. Law and Justice in New Millennium
  2. Access to Justice and Socio economic rights
  3. Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) System and Access to Justice
  4. Legal Aid Clinics and Access to Justice
  5. Role of the Policymakers Media, Legal Professionals, Teachers, Students and Social Workers in facilitating access to Justice


Rewards: Three Separate Best Student Paper awards will be given for the Graduate, Post graduate and Doctoral level student authors.

Submission Guidelines

An abstract not exceeding two pages shall be submitted for consideration. The abstract shall contain the:



  1. Title of paper
  2. Synopsis of the Paper
  3. Reference materials
  4. Conclusion indicating author’s perspective
  5. Presenter(s) name and title
  6. Postal addresses
  7. E-mail addresses and
  8. Telephone numbers of all contributors


The abstract should be mailed to Dr.K.C.Sunny, Professor and Head Department of Law, University of Kerala (seminarslawdpt@gmail.com ) on or before 15th July 2015.

Registration Fees



  1. For Indian Delegates (without accommodation): Rs 2500 (Rs 2000 for students)
  2. For foreign Delegates (without accommodation): 150 US Dollars(100 US dollars for Students)
  3. For foreign Delegates (with accommodation): 500 US Dollars (Single Room) - 450 US Dollars for students
  4. For Indian Delegates (with accommodation for 3 days ) : Double occupancy Rs Rs8000/- (Rs 7000 for students) and single occupancy Rs 10000/- (Rs 9000 for students)
