CJI: debates in TV is creating more pollution than everybody. They don’t understand. Statements are taken out of context.
Everyone has their own agenda.
CJI: we’ve taken care of that issue. We said in our order to request farmers to not do stubble burning for 2 weeks
CJI: our focus is pollution, you are raising issues that aren’t relevant. Why are you bringing it up again & again.
Singhvi: it was said If stubble burning is 3-4% burning it need not be addressed. We want to say IT IS A CAUSE.
CJI: If you see today's newspaper, they all have their own statistics.
Singhvi: Mr Mehta’s Ministry, they’ve said it varies from 0-58%. Why? Because it may be 0 in November and more in March. Possibly what Mr Mehta did was take a 4-month average or 6-month average.
CJI: we’ll hear Delhi govt.
Sr Adv AM Singhvi for Delhi Govt: In many Religions, they say, truth has many facets. Me, SG and Vikas Singh all may be right. % given by govt for stubble burning is 35-40%
SG: the advantage of not passing work from home direction would outweigh the advantages which would be gained from work from home directions which would be limited to only less number of Central Government vehicles on road.
SG submits on the aspect of work from home for central govt employees: The government of India has issued an advisory for CG officers for pooling j#& sharing of vehicles to the maximum extent possible so that number of vehicles plying for commuting is reduced substantially.
SG: It includes adjoining areas and states: Rajasthan, Punjab Harayana, UP.
CJI: Is this applicable to all adjoining areas?
SG: Yes, adjoining areas. Some are states.
SG: NCR State govt shall allow work from home for atleast 50%.
