Rohatgi: I misinterpreted. Your lordship is talking about the court where closure report filed and not where the trial was going on. Your lordships, the court after application of mind accepted the closure report.
Bench: All that we said is that we will consider your arguments for rejecting the plea of other side. But we have to deal with what the Court said with respect of closure report.
Rohatgi: My mandate is to investigate 9 cases, take them to logical end
Rohatgi: To answer your lorships, if something is wrong with a court judgement that is redressal by a legal system. It is not redressable by filing a complaint in a parallel fashion.There cannot be 3-4 parallel things going on. We have prosecuted Maya Kodnani, a sitting Minister.
Rohatgi: I placed. My role was to prosecute people. I have done my job. This (Zakia’s complaint) was a job at the fag end. My job is not to be some super policeman for all cases. Let’s not forget my role, Milords.
Bench: The argument of the other side is acceptable or not acceptable will be decided by the Court, but SIT has to place the evidence before Court.
