Salve: The first summon issued on 10th September 2020 had referred to a few complainants which have shown considerable strength from the news report published by WSJ article. And then the committee took cognizance on those complaints.
Salve reads other annexured articles over allegations on Ms. Ankhi Das, then policy head of Facebook for India and South Asia and other allegations on there being a "pro government" agenda.
Salve: The allegations are completely political in nature.
Salve reads the Wall Street Journal article of 14th August 2020. The article mentioned allegations against Ankhi Das opposing applying of the hate speech rules.
Salve: Second on the function “to recommend action against such persons against whom incriminating evidence is found or prima facie case is made out for incitement to violence”.
Salve: My concerns are first on the function of “hearing complaints on situations prevailing in a particular area which have the potential to disturb communal peace & harmony or where communal riots have occurred and to examine in detail and identify factors responsible for it.”
Salve continues his submissions on behalf of Mr. Ajit Mohan.
“After showing the two notices, I would now like to show the term reference and functions of the Committee.” Salve continued.
