CBSE ICSE CLASS XII Assessment Scheme: Supreme Court Hearing-Live Updates
Choudhary reads out relevant portion of the order.
Bench: That scheme pertained to situation where part of exam was conducted but part was not conducted.
Choudhary: If i take into consideration CLAT if a student appearing as a private or second compartment, he won’t be able to take admission as he doesn’t have class XII result
Choudhary cites Supreme Court’s order passed in case of Amit Bathla’s case last year.
Choudhary: If i take into consideration CLAT if a student appearing as a private or second compartment, he won’t be able to take admission as he doesn’t have class XII result
Adv Abhishek Choudhary for intervenors seeking cancellation of Compartment students: It has been said that exam will be conducted when time is conducive.
Bench to Mr Singh: We have noted you suggestions which include that Exam be made an option in the beginning, Criteria of CBSE and ICSE should be same, Results be announced together. ICSE has frozen the data which hasn’t been done in CBSE
Singh: I spoke to a Math teacher and he couldn’t understand the formula Thats been made. How will the students understand the complex formula.
Bench: If Maths teacher says I don’t understand then who will understand. You have approached the wrong teacher. We can’t go by individual perceptions.
Bench: These are two different dispensations. CBSE and ICSE are different. Apple can’t be compared to Orange.
Singh: If option to take exam is not given at the outset, in the beginning, we may be allowed to challenge it.
Singh: All the results should be out in one go. Rather than having one exam, and then have a betterment chance etc
Singh: I reiterate my position that exams can be held and everyone can be asked to wear a double mask. The positivity rate in Delhi has come down to 0.17. It’s an important exam
Singh: Another problem is, marking for current year is to be based on performance of students who studied in the school in past years. Basis should not be of someone else’s batch.
Singh: Court should say that if there’s basis of deciding marks based on some principle, that should apply to both Boards.
