Bench: Giving the option at the outset is something we can put to them.
Singh: Then we won’t challenge cos otherwise there will be uncertainty.
Bench: For students there should be some hope somewhere. Government has taken a conscious decision. That decision has been accepted by us. You have option to appear or not appear in exam for improvisation. #CBSE #ICSE

Singh: There are other petitions filed challenging government’s decision they haven’t been listed. This isn’t a market place, people can be asked to come with double masks. That liberty should be given.
Bench: The student at present doesn’t know what marks he will secure.
Singh: He knows formula, so he knows where he will stand.
Supreme Court has commenced the hearing cases related to assessment Class 12 CBSE/ICSE students.
On 03.06.2021 Supreme Court had directed the CBSE to devise and place on record a well-defined objective criteria for assessment of performance of the candidates within two weeks from the date of the order.
That pursuant to the aforesaid order / direction dated 03.06.2021, the CBSE placed on record 'objective criteria for assessment of performance of the candidates' on 17.06.2021 before the Supreme Court and the Court accepted the formula.
