I'll need time to write this, court says.

Singhvi: Where have you mentioned? Today when I argue, you're pushing everything. You didn't produce it when you gave notice, you didn't do it in your arrest memo or grounds of arrest. You can't do it like this.

Singhvi: Nothing in grounds of arrest except one sentence, January 2024 and Magunta Reddy.

Singhvi: SC release is May 2024. Regular bail June 20. And then SC order on July 12. They come up with one piece of evidence where 13 June document which is not admissible or used by any court till date, even SC..

Singh: It's not a document. It's my CD.

Singhvi: Trial has not even started. Trial can't even start. Don't use cover of Manish Sisodia. He says I have to collect evidence and sanction has to be taken that is why delay happened. FIR is of August 2022, his interrogation is of April 2023, he said I've to collect evidence, latest maximum evidence is January 2024.

Singhvi: His argument is three persons have not got bail. He didn't tell that notice has been issued on Sisodia bail. On June 4, SC says if chargesheet isn't filed by July 3 and if there is delay, you have full liberty to go back.

Singhvi now starts rejoinder submissions on CBI's arguments.

Singhvi: I don't want to languish here on a second writ.

Hariharan: Even Arnesh Kumar says that even if the arrest is declared to be illegal, I can get bail.

Court: We can confine it to writ and then come back to bail.

Singh: Are we passing a law that anyone, because of concurrent jurisdiction, can come here? Not in every case there is such advanced investigation.

2024-07-17 09:48 GMT

Singhvi: I cited many judgments that your lordships have jurisdiction. If your lordships is not satisfied, you may reject is. He is saying ignore my 12 cases of SC, say that you are concurrent but send me back. No reason. If chargesheets are filed in trial courts then why there are SC judgements showing your lordships have concurrent jurisdiction.
