Pre-Invite: XII NLS-Trilegal International Arbitration Moot [16th-19th May]

The Moot Court Society of the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, is organising the XII Edition of the NLS-Trilegal International Arbitration Moot [NLSTIAM].

Dates: 16th to 19th May, 2019

Moot Problem:




  • The problem of the XII Edition of the NLSTIAM is based on commercial arbitration and smart contracts.

  • The Problem-Drafting Committee is being chaired by Gary Born, chair of the International Arbitration Practice Group at Wilmer Hale and a world-renowned author.

  • The problem will be tentatively released on 27 December, 2018.


Further, NLSTIAM is collaborating with the National Law School Negotiation Mediation and Client Counselling Competition (NLSMNC). For the universities which choose to participate in both the NLS NMC from May 9th to 12th, and the NLSTIAM from May 17th to 19th, the organisers shall provide a subsidy on travel and provide with a tour of Bangalore, and the surrounding areas, in the four days between the competitions. Teams will be able to retain the same accommodation throughout their 10-day period.

For international teams, the Organizing Committee shall subsidize the stay, in the case of any pressing financial constraints. Teams which participate in both the NLS NMC and NLSTIAM shall receive further subsidy for their intermediate stay.
