The Kerala High Court has issued revised guidelines dated October 11, 2023, to categorize matters into Today, Tomorrow and Day After Tomorrow basis. The categorization is introduced in reference  to notice dated December 23, 2022 read with corrigendum dated December 27, 2022 to facilitate faster and more efficient scrutiny of e-files.

As per the revised guidelines, OP (RC) is decided to be included in the category of Tomorrow moving matters as they often require urgent attention.

The revised instructions are as follows:

  1. Tomorrow moving matters will be restricted to- WP (Crl), OP (C), OP (Crl), Bail Application, Crl MC, WP (C), matters where accused/petitioner/appellant is in custody, OP (RC).
  2. All other matters apart from those mentioned above in sl. no. 1 will be moved as Day After Tomorrow matters
  3. Today moving will be available only during pre and post holidays and it will be restricted to- WP (Crl), OP (C), OP (Crl), Bail Application, Crl MC, WP (C) matters where accused/petitioner/appellant is in custody, OP (RC).
  4. Other urgent matters can be moved as either Today or Tomorrow, only with the permission of the Court.
