The swearing-in event transpired in the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including all the High Court judges, the Registrar General, Advocate General Rajiv Ranjan, and the President of the Advocate Association of Jharkhand High Court, Ritu Kumar. The ceremony also witnessed the attendance of notable figures such as DGP, Advocate Dheeraj Kumar, and other distinguished personalities.
The oath of office was administered by Justice Shree Chandrashekhar, the Acting Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court.
The appointment of Justice Arun Rai to the position of a High Court Judge was officially notified on January 31, following the recommendation of the Supreme Court Collegium to the central government on January 18.
Having commenced his Judicial service on May 5, 2012, Justice Arun Kumar Rai has held various positions as a Judicial Officer in different locations across Jharkhand. Prior to his elevation to the High Court, he served as the Judicial Commissioner in Ranchi Civil Court.
