#CJI: We will appoint a good lawyer, what is the problem? The CJI is the patron-in-chief of the NALSA. You give us names of one senior and one junior advocate.

Jaising: I am only requesting in your suo motu capacity for instant witness protection to the family of the #hathrascase. We don't want any outsider lawyers, only from NALSA. Please see provisions.

SG: Witnesses are already protected.

#CJI: Why didnt you go to the Allahabad HC?

Singh for 100 women lawyers:

Because matter has now been transferred to CBI and we want the matter to be transferred outside the seat of UP

#CJI: Allahabad HC Constitutional court and is hearing the matter.

#CJI: Court of law need not hear the same argument by every party. This is not a comment on the incident but please understand our point of view.

Singh: We are only here to assist your lordship. 

#CJI: Please understand that we are in no way condoning the incident, it is horrible incident but the question is how many similar arguments should we hear?

Advocate Kirti Singh for 100 female lawyers: We would like the supervision of the Court in this case. While there may not be legitimacy as being the petitioners family but we are pained.

#CJI: Please understand that there is no need to duplicate concerns in the court of law.

Petitioner: Represent women of society.

#CJI: We understand your anxiety but let us listen to the other parties.

#CJI to one of the petitioner(s): Who are you?

Petitioner: This is a shocking incident.

#CJI: There is no doubt this is shocking but the question is of locus. Why are you here?

SG for UP Govt: I am not adversarial.

#CJI to Jaising: We are wondering if you even have locus in this criminal case. We are only hearing because of the shocking case. We appreciate your presence but we don't want to be misunderstood. We are saying your clients may not have any locus.
