John: Akbar had mentioned during his cross-exam that he was not aware of advent of the #MeToo movement in India

John: In his cross-exam, Akbar had denied having any knowledge about Ramani being offered a job for the Delhi office of Asian Age

He had denied of having knowledge of Ramani's journalism career in past 20 years

John: In his cross-exam, Akbar had denied asking personal questions to Ramani or asking her whether she liked Hindi music

He also denied offering a drink to Ramani

John: In his cross-exam, Akbar denied receiving any call from Ramani from the reception or calling her to his room at Oberoi Hotel

In his cross examination, Akbar had said that he doesn't remember that during his tenure as Editor of Asian Age he was issued a contempt notice by the High Court for false reporting in response of which he had to issue an apology
