Bench: We have made that clear earlier also, we are not willing to change that proposition. If other Boards are taking exams doesn’t mean CBSE also has to.

Bench: Students approached us saying the uncertainty is affecting their psychology. Then that was taken into account by authorities. Should we reverse that now and put lakhs of students under uncertainty?

Bench: Examination is there. If you want to appear you can. If it should be made available is yet to be considered by us. 

Bench: This is why we are with decision of the Board.

Bench: Are you taking responsibility if students are exposed? Logistical support will have to be provided. It’s not this easy. 

Gupta: How come class 12th exams for these students is a threat and other exams

Bench: Each board is different. Logistical arrangements are to be provided. Board is conscious of this. Decision has been taken by highest authorities & is a well informed decision

Gupta: Same set of students will appear in those exams as well, why cancel 12th and not this.

Bench: You’re only comparing with other exams. These exams are independent exams. Board has to take that position

Justice Maheshwari to Gupta: You are not listening and constantly interrupting. This is not a way to address a Court sir. You are a teacher, from you people take instructions.

Bench: You are giving reference of other exams. What are number of candidates appearing in those exams?

Gupta: My concern is not number. My concern is same students are appearing in both exams. Medical and IIT exams will have lakhs of students!
