Grover: This is not between two castes or communities. You have to look at the content of the tweet. 

Grover: My client is being targeted for his work. He may be challenging the people who are powerful but that can't be reason why he is targeted. 

Grover: We are in June 2022. If an anonymous Twitter handle chose to create mischief in the country, those reasons should be investigated I think. Abuse of legal process is writ large over here. 

Grover: The penalty under 295 is upto 2 years. There is a bar of 468 CrPC sub section 2(of limitation).

This was a tweet of 2018. This anonymous Twitter handle, this was his first tweet and it was picked up magically by the police.

Grover: The laptop has nothing to do. This is where the police is abusing it's power. If I'm arrested in one case, my laptop and phone is storehouse of my information.

Grover: As a journalist or even laptop of lawyers, it contains sensitive information. Once devise is recieved, phishing enquiry begins.

Why is my laptop something they are after? 

Grover: What are they asking for even today? My mobile phone. I used to use a different phone in 2018. It's lost now. It's told in a a matter before Delhi High Court as well. I have a lost article report. Threatening me will not recover a lost mobile in this country.

Grover: Is it their case that if it's the same tweet, many others have said that too, the only distinction between them and my client is a distinction of faith of my name, my work?Is that the reason why I am being targeted?

Grover: There is nothing in my tweet, I haven't done anything. What is offensive for even somebody who is a practicing Hindu? 

Grover: I don't even have the remand copy. My juniors are a little active on social media. From a television website channel, they have downloaded it. Police has not supplied it to us even now. 

Grover: Just now it was submitted that he has edited. Now they have to prove it because I'll prove that it's from a movie.
