Former Chief Justice of India UU Lalit will deliver a lecture on the topic "Evolution of independence of judiciary as a basic feature of the Constitution" at the Kerala High Court auditorium on March 24 at 4.40 PM.

The lecture session is conducted in connection with the golden jubilee of the judgment Kesavananda Bharti vs State of Kerala. The event is organised jointly by the Kerala High Court Advocates Association and the Constitution Debate Club (CDC).

Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas, judge of the High Court of Kerala, will make introductory remarks. Advocate Naveen T, the Secretary of KHCAA, will deliver the welcome address.

The concluding remarks will be made by Senior Advocate Jaju Babu, the patron of CDC.

The event will be live-streamed in the Youtube channel of LiveLaw.
