DNLU-SLJ In Collaboration With Seven Seas Partners LLP Presents Space Law Blog Writing Competition

Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur, was established in 2018 as the second National Law University in Madhya Pradesh after NLIU, Bhopal. DNLU strives to achieve, impart, and disseminate the best in the knowledge of the law and to establish itself as a premiere Institute in the promotion of research and academic culture. Along with this, the University also aims for the holistic development of the students, including all extracurricular, co-curricular, and non-academic activities. And in achieving this, the whole university works like a big family, the DNLU family.

Dharmashastra National Law University- Student Law Journal (DNLU-SLJ) is a peer-reviewed, student-run academic journal with the mission of disseminating high-caliber research on law and legal studies from all angles, including comparative, global, and transdisciplinary views. As a flagship initiative of Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur (DNLU), the journal was conceptualized to provide a peculiar platform for the expression of opinions, thoughts, and views of the student fraternity through publications in the forms of scholarly articles, research papers, book reviews, and case studies. The journal has the Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court as “Patron-in-Chief” and the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Manoj Sinha as Patron. Moreover, the Advisory Board of the Journal has an esteemed panel of Prof. Richard Albert, Prof. Yaniv Roznai, Prof. Prabhakar Singh, Mr. Abhijit Das, and Mr. Ajar Rab amongst others.

Blog Writing Competition, 2024

DNLU-SLJ has a collaboration with Seven Seas Partner LLP to organize a Blog Writing Competition. The vision and foresight of the esteemed organization inspires them to strive for excellence. They believe that the expertise of Seven Seas Partner LLP is going to significantly help them in organizing Blog Writing Competition. The idea behind this event is to recognize and honor the talents coming out through this competition. It would be open to all the students enrolled in various universities and colleges across the country.

 MNLU's CRASL is one of the leading centers in the Space Law sector and has contributed significantly to this multifaceted sector. Therefore, they are elated to have them as their Knowledge and Support Partner.

For the first edition of the Competition, the theme is 'Space Law and its Development in Indian Scenario.'

The following are the proposed Sub-themes:

1. Analyzing the role of recently releases IN-SPACe guidelines

2. The growing intersection of insolvency laws and Space Laws in Indian market

3. Artemis Accords and India

4. Space Debris Management by Indian Companies

5. Privacy concerns in Indian Space Sector

6. Liability and Insurance claims in Indian Space Sector

The above sub-themes are suggestive in nature, they encourage holistic research and welcome submissions on any relevant topic related to Space Law and its development in the Indian Scenario. Students enrolled in various UG/PG/PhD programs in various Universities and Colleges are welcome to participate in the Competition. All submissions will go through a rigorous review process and editing by the Editorial Board.

Timeline 

The call for registration for the Blog Writing Competition will be out by 5th July 2024. The last date for registration and Submission of the Blog will be 25 August 2024. The Declaration of Results will be on 10 October 2024.

Registration Fee

The Registration Fees for the Participants are Rs. 200 for Single Authorship and Rs. 300 for Co-Authorship (up to 2 authors only).

Awards

The authors whose blogs make it to the top three, shall be awarded cash prizes. The first winner will be provided with an amount of INR 5000/-, the runner-up will be awarded INR 3000/-, and the third will be awarded INR 2000/-. The selected articles will be published on the DNLU-SLJ (Online) Platform and the authors will be provided with the prize money and Certificate of Appreciation.

Internship Opportunity

The first three winners shall be awarded an opportunity to intern with Seven Seas Partners LLP, subject to the policy of the firm.
