CJI Chandrachud Lays Foundation Stone for Rajiv K Luthra Memorial At NLSIU, Bengaluru
Chief Justice of India, Shri DY Chandrachud laid the foundation stone for the Rajiv K Luthra Academic Wing at the National Law School of India University in Bengaluru on September 22, 2024.
Present on the occasion were several distinguished guests and dignitaries including the Attorney General of India Shri R. Venkataramani, Chairman of Bar Council of India, Manan Mishra, Chief Trustee of Rajiv K Luthra Foundation, Mrs. Gayatri Luthra, Managing Partner, Mr. Harry Chawla, and Mr. Amit Luthra, Managing Partner of Luthra and Luthra Chartered Accountants.
National Law School of India University has been India's top ranked institution for legal education since the last two decades and the Rajiv K Luthra Foundation's grant will be used to redevelop the Academic Wing by redesigning existing, and building new, classrooms and seminar rooms. The foundation has also instituted two annual gold medals in the memory of Late. Rajiv K Luthra - to be awarded to meritorious students. Further, the grant will be used to organise an annual lecture series in honour of Rajiv K. Luthra for a period of five years.
