The Recruitment Co-ordination Committee of Hidayatullah National Law University has recently shared the placement figures for the Graduating Batch of 2017.
These placements have happened over the sessions 2016 – 17 and were conducted on Campus and through Video-Conferencing. Further, pre-placement offers were also made to some students.
The RCC this year was formed under the aegis of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sukhpal Singh and the Registrar Dr. Deepak Kr. Srivastava. Dr. Y. Papparao, and Mrs. Balwinder Kaur Sandhu were the faculty coordinators this year.
The Student Co-ordinators of the RCC were Nipun Gautam, Astha Sinha, Om Kukreja, Prerana De, A.Rishi and Sharanya Mukherjee.
This year they reached out to both law firms and companies for interviews and assessment internships. The strategy has paid off, with 58 offers being generated for the 73 students who sat for the placements. The below mentioned offers include LLM offers and fellowships as well. They still await results of few interviews which have already been conducted, post results of the same the overall number is expected to increase.
This year, there has been an increase in the number of fellowships offered to students which include renowned fellowships, namely, Teach for India and Yes Foundation Social Change fellowship. Further, LLM offers have been made from ILF Germany, School of Oriental and African Studies and Stockholm School of Economics. There has been a considerable number of students who have opted to take the UPSC and Judiciary exams. Some students have also opted to pursue litigation as a career.
