The Delhi High Court is going to start live streaming of court proceedings from October 11 in an “identified manner”, beginning with the Chief Justice’s court.

The division bench comprising of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Sanjeev Narula will commence live streaming of court proceedings from 10:30 AM.

A press note released by the Delhi High Court states that for now, the live streaming will be conducted on case to case basis as per court’s directions.

It adds that the live streaming of court proceedings will start very soon in another court i.e. Court No. 39 also.

“The live streaming link is available on the home page of the official website of Delhi High Court https://delhihighcourt.nic.in under the title - LIVE STREAMING.

For now, the live streaming of court proceedings wil be conducted on case to case basis, as per the directions of the Hon'ble Court,” the press note states.

It adds: “The contents of'LIVE STREAMING' are for information purpose only and the live streaming/archival data shall not constitute the official record ofthe court proceedings.”

It has been clarified that no person or entity (including print and electronic media, and social media platforms) other than an authorised person or entity shall record, share or disseminate live streamed proceedings or archival data.

“It is noteworthy that all the courts of the High Court of Delhi are functioning as paperless e-courts with the facility of video conference/hybrid hearing and all the cases, replies, rejoinders, documents, etc. are e-filed through Online e-Fling System only,” the note states.
