Final Round: GLC’s DMH International Moot Court Competition [11th Feb; Mumbai]
The DM Harish Foundation, in association with the Moot Court Association of Government Law College, Mumbai, organizes the DM Harish Memorial Government Law College International Moot Court Competition every year.
The competition, which is currently in its 19th edition, is organized in the memory of the Late DM Harish, a distinguished advocate and a renowned authority on Income-tax Law in India and is popularly known as ‘DMH’.
Teams from universities / colleges from all over the world participate in this competition. Apart from international universities, premier Indian law colleges/universities are invited. This year, Duke University, University of Minnesota, University of Northumbria, Queen Mary University of London, Nepal Law Campus and Sri Lanka Law College are the participating international teams.
The final round will be held on 11th February, at Convocation Hall, Mumbai University, Churchgate, at 5:30 pm and will be presided over by a bench of judges of the Hon’ble Bombay High Court. The case study of the competition explores various aspects of international relations, from treatment of foreign prisoners, to unilateral economic sanctions, providing a holistic approach to the concept of state responsibility.
