Indian Council of Arbitration (ICA) with the support of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) is organizing the International Conference cum Roadshow "ARBITRATING INDO-UK COMMERCIAL DISPUTES" on July 5, 2022, in London, United Kingdom.
ICA is the apex arbitral institution in India. The Council was created in 1965 to promote and administer the use Alternate Dispute Resolution Mechanism in commercial disputes, thereby expediting dispute resolution with a view to encouraging smooth and seamless domestic and international business. The Council has amongst its permanent Founder Member, FICCI the apex the largest and oldest apex business organisation in India.
Recently, ICA also successfully organized its 4th Edition of the International Conference "Arbitration in the Era of Globalization" on March 19, 2022, at The Oberoi in Dubai, UAE, which was attended by over 200 participants which include various stakeholders i.e., policy makers, senior business executives, representatives from international arbitration organizations, legal practitioners, in-house counsels, intellectual property experts, industry associations, corporate representatives, arbitrators, chartered accountants and other professionals.
This Conference will have prominent speakers and participation from both UK and India and will be inaugurated by the Hon'ble Chief Justice of India Mr. N V Ramana. Also, Mr. Kiren Rijiju - Hon'ble Minister of Law & Justice, Government of India have been invited to deliver the special address. The Technical Sessions will be addressed by eminent speakers from both India and England. See tentative agenda, attached. The Conference is expected to be attended by a high-powered audience, comprising of eminent jurists, policymakers, lawyers, in-house counsels, leaders from the legal fraternity, dispute resolution professionals, business leaders, leading corporates, business and trade chambers, government officials and friends from media & press to cover the event.
