The All India Lawyers Association for Justice invites you to a book discussion on "India's Undeclared Emergency: Constitution, Law and the Politics of Resistance". The author, Adv. Arvind Narrain will be joined by Supreme Court Advocate Shahrukh Alam and Academic and lawyer Malavika Prasad.

Arvind Narrain is a lawyer and writer based in Bangalore. He is a founding member of the Alternative Law Forum, a collective of lawyers based in Bangalore. He is also currently pursuing his PHD at the National Law School of India University in which he is looking at the legal and political thought of Babasaheb Ambedkar.
Shahrukh Alam read law at the National Law School of India and at the LSE. She also has a degree in sociology. She practices law at the Supreme Court of India.
Malavika Prasad is an advocate and doctoral fellow at NALSAR University of Law. She has worked on both sides of the Bar, and is currently working on her doctoral thesis on Indian cooperative federalism.
