AURO University, Surat is hosting the third edition of its National Moot Court Competition on Surrogacy.
About
Health Ministry of the Union government introduced the Surrogacy (Regulation) bill, 2016 in the parliament in November 2016. The legal aspects surrounding surrogacy are complex, diverse and mostly unsettled.
While the honorable Members of Parliament debate and discuss over this crucial piece of proposed legislation. The bill, if passed will have several ramifications in the area of child rights, maternity rights and human rights.
Law students from across the country are invited to engage in the moot regarding this burning issue.
The competition offers the following awards
In addition to the above awards, meritorious certificates and trophies shall be given to the winners. All participants will be given participation certificates.

- Winning Team cash prize Rs.25, 000/-
- Runners-Up Team cash prize of Rs. 12,000/-
- Best student speaker cash prize of Rs. 5000/-
- Best runner- up student speaker cash prize of Rs. 3000/-
- Best Memorial cash prize of Rs. 5000/-
