Plea To Cancel NEET-UG 24 : Supreme Court Poses Queries To Centre & NTA- Live Updates (July 18)

CJI : There is some urgency in the NEET matters, several students are waiting. We will open the NEET matter today.

The Court proceedings will commence at 11.15 AM in view of the swearing-in ceremony for two new judges.

NTA in written submission : It is incorrect to say that deserving candidates would be deprived of their opportunities as the selection is based on rank and not due to marks. It is also submitted that in a competitive examination, relative merit is most important and significant,

NTA filed written submissions yesterday.

NTA stated :

“The allegations of the petitioners that there has been a systemic failure as candidates have obtained unprecedented higher marks only in the top range of mark interval are misconceived and thus denied.”
