Singhvi submits that the Court cannot therefore give an interim stay on the ground that there is no power for the legislature.

Singhvi maintains that the committee has however power to do the enquiry. Says that this is not about police or law & order, he adds.

Singhvi- I will rectify the defects in the notice in 2 days.

Kaul- The Committee is not properly advised.

Singhvi - Since many witnesses have said FB was misused, we want to discuss mechanism to fix it.

Singhvi - I am speaking for the Committee and the Chairman. Three things be recorded.

1. He is called as a witness.

2. No coercive action is intended.

3. Facebook is not called as an accused. This is to find out whether Facebook was misused. We are not saying FB misused.
