The Bombay High Court on Wednesday allowed an application filed by Aryan Shah Rukh Khan seeking modification of his bail condition to appear before the Narcotics Control Bureau every Friday.

Justice Nitin Sambre however made it clear that Khan must be present before SIT Delhi as and when directed, provided a prior 72 hours notice is given.

As far as the condition for travel outside Mumbai is concerned, the Court said that Khan should submit his itinerary to the investigation officer beforehand.

Senior Advocate Amit Desai appearing for Khan submitted today, "We are seeking modification of bail condition 'J' regarding attendance on Friday. Nothing is happening. Whenever they want he can be summoned. The Bombay branch is also not in the matter after SIT."

Special Prosecutor Shreeram Shirsat appeared for NCB. He stated that since the investigation has now been taken over by SIT Delhi, the condition can be modified to the extent that as and when Khan is called by the SIT, he should be present.

The Bombay High Court had granted bail to Khan and two others on October 28, 2021 and had set 13 bail conditions.
Khan's plea states that his bail condition could be relaxed since the Cruise Ship Drugs Case is now transferred to a Special Investigations Team set up by the NCB in Delhi.
He has cited difficulties faced by him due to the huge media presence everytime he marks his attendance at the NCB office.
The NCB arrested Khan on October 3, along with several others following an alleged drug bust where the Cordelia Cruise Ship was docked.
While nothing was recovered from Khan, his friend Arbaaz Merchant was allegedly found in possession of 6gms of charas and 5gms of hashish was allegedly recovered from Dhamecha.
They were booked under Section 8(c), 20(b), 27, 28, 29 and 35 under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
