MCA Invites Application For Posts Of Judicial Member And Technical Member In NCLAT, Last Date To Apply Is 5th July 2023
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (“MCA”), Government of India, has issued a circular dated 06.06.2023, inviting application for the post of Judicial Members and Technical Members in the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (“NCLAT”). Applications are to be submitted online at https://apptrbmembermca.gov.in between 08.06.2023 to 05.07.2023.
There is vacancy in NCLAT for the post of three Judicial Members and two Technical Members.
- Qualifications for Judicial Member under Rule 3(11) of the Tribunal (Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021
A person can be appointed as Judicial Member if he/she:
- is, or has been, a Judge of a High Court; or
- is a Judicial Member of the National Company Law Tribunal for five years; or
- has been an advocate for ten years with substantial experience in litigation in matters relating to company affairs before National company Law Tribunal, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, High Court or Supreme Court.
- Qualifications for Technical Member under Rule 3(11) of the Tribunal (Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021
A person can be appointed as Technical Member if he/she is:
- A person of proven ability, integrity and standing having special knowledge and professional experience, of not less than twenty-five years, in law, industrial finance, industrial management or administration, industrial reconstruction, investment, accountancy or any other matter which is useful to the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal.
Age Criteria
Alongwith the aforementioned criteria, the candidate must be of 50 years of age on the last date of submission of online application. The term of employment will be 4 years, or till he/she attains the age of 67 years, whichever is earlier.
Salary
The Member shall be paid a salary of Rs. 2,25,000/- per month, plus other allowances as admissible.
The last date for submission of online application is 5th July 2023 at 05:30 pm.
