The Telangana High Court on Saturday launched an e-Sewa Kendra to facilitate efficiency in obtaining information regarding cases, it will also enable both parties and lawyers obtain order copies through email or social media, like WhatsApp.

The E-Sewa Kendra was inaugurated by the Chief Justice Alok Aradhe, in the presence of the Judges of the High Court of the State, the Advocate General B.S. Prasad, Chairman State Bar Council, Nrasimha Reddy A, President of the Bar Association and various other members of the legal fraternity.

The Kendra aims at solving some of the basic problems faced by litigants on a day to day basis such as, handling queries about the location of the particular Court, its causelist, and whether the case is taken up for hearing or not, handling inquiries about case status information, assistance with downloading the Mobile App of e-Courts for Android and IOS and even explaining the method of arranging and holding a video conference Court hearing.

Some of the other facilities offered by the E Sewa Kendra which are aimed to assist both lawyers and litigants are: facilitates online Applications for certified copies, e-Filing of petitions right from the scanning of hard copy petitions, appending e-Signatures, uploading them onto CIS, and generation of filing numbers, booking of e-Mulakat appointments for meeting relatives in jail, e-payments and facilitate payment for online compounding of traffic challans and other petty offences.
