Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court, Justice Alok Aradhe has inaugurated the monumental feature today. On Independence Day, Chief Justice Aradhe had stated that the High Court is taking active steps for the introduction of live-streaming feature in all Courts.
The Telangana High Court website has been updated to incorporate this new feature which also permits viewing of recorded Court proceedings in the interests of transparency and efficiency.
The proceedings can be accessed through the following link: http://telangana.functionslive.com/live/#/court/tile
Back in 2022, Advocate Srilekha Poojari had filed a Public Interest litigation before the division bench of the then Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili praying implementation of the directions of the Supreme Court in considering the adoption of live-streaming both in High Courts as well as in the district courts. The Court had passed interim orders directing the State to take positive and appropriate measures, and the matter is still pending.
