Supreme Court Collegium Proposes Appointment Of 3 New Judges To Telangana High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium system has recommended the names the name of Advocate Anil Kumar Jukanti, Advocate Laxminsarayana Alishetty and Judicial Officer Sujana Kalasikam, for appointment as Judges of the High Court of Telanagana.

The Chief Justice of Telanagana, in consultation with two his senior most colleagues had recommended the three names on 23 October 2022. The inputs provided that all three candidates enjoyed a good professional and personal image, and nothing adverse was reflected upon their integrity.

Advocate Anil Kumar has over 20 years of standing with the Bar and specialises in taxation, civil and criminal law.

Advocate Laxminarayana Alishetty, has standing of standing of 26 years with the Bar and specilaizes in writ litigation, arbitration, civil and commercial litigation.

And, the Supreme Court Collegium, after due consideration, accepted that the three candidates are suitable for being appointed as judges for the High Court of Telangana.
