CJI DY Chandrachud: Justice Nariman's Judgement on whether there should be a time limit on speaker to decide- if we can have a note on that...
CJI DY Chandrachud: If you have some specific point they have not covered, you can have a chat with Mr Sibal and I'm sure he'll place it before us.
Adv Sarode: I want to intervene. I want to support Mr Sibal.
CJI DY Chandrachud: Mr Sibal and Dr Singhvi will be very happy with your support but I'm not sure if they want you to support them in the court. So you can have a word with Mr Sibal.
CJI DY Chandrachud: Mr Salve, we'll hear you on Tuesday for five minutes. And if Mr Kaul, you want to submit something on Tuesday you can. Then we'll hear Mr Jethmalani and SG... equally Mr Sibal we'll give you full time.
CJI DY Chandrachud: On Tuesday, after we reopen, the three of you can argue. There's no prejudice because Mr Sibal you still have to rejoind.
SG: Logistically it may not be finished today.
CJI DY Chandrachud: We'll hear Mr Salve and have it wrap it up.
Sibal: Let's wrap and have it on Tuesday what else can we do
CJI DY Chandrachud: Mr Jethmalani, we're not rushing any of you as it is important matter. How long will you take? Between the three of you- Mr Maninder Singh, Mr Jethmalani, Mr SG- you'll take 2 hours?
Salve: With that judgment being read as absence of power, your concern would go away.
Salve: I don't read that judgement as absence of power. Your lordships never said that he ceases to have power. There are 50 other things speaker does. It's only in one area that the speaker shouldn't act.
