AOR Exam : Appropriate That Candidates Should Have Taken Both Doses Of COVID Vaccine, Says Supreme Court

The Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Examination, 2021 will be conducted on 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd of December, 2021.

The notification issued by the Supreme Court states that 'it will be appropriate that the candidates desirous to appear in the Advocates-on-Record Examination should have taken both doses of COVID-19 vaccine'. This is to ensure the safety and well-being of the candidates and the examination functionaries.

The candidates are required to intimate to this Registry as to whether they have been administered both the doses of COVID-19 vaccine, through e-mail at advocate-on-record@sci.nic.in, latest by 17th November, 2021. In case, no intimation is received by the Registry, as aforesaid, it shall be presumed that he/she has not been vaccinated and his/her seating arrangement in the examination hall will be arranged accordingly, the notification reads.

The Supreme Court had earlier cancelled Advocates-on-Record Examination 2020 in the wake of spike in COVID19 cases in Delhi. In March 2021, it notified that the Advocates-on-Record examination 2021 will be held in the Supreme Court Premises on 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th June, 2021. In May 2021, the Supreme Court Advocates-On-Record Association (SCAORA) had written to the Supreme Court seeking postponement of the 'Advocates On Record Examination-2021' from June, 2021 to December, 2021.
