With many of the Supreme Court staff testing positive for COVID-19, all Judges will be conducting proceedings from their respective homes and physical mentioning before the Mentioning Registrar has been suspended.

Supreme Court has issued the Circulars in wake of the rising COVID-19 cases in the Capital. With multiple persons from the Court staff testing positive, the entire Court premise, including the courtrooms, is being sanitized.

One Circular states that as the Judges will now be sitting from their homes, the Benches which were scheduled to sit at 10.30AM, will now sit at 11.30AM, and those which were scheduled to sit at 11.00AM will sit at 12 noon.

Another Circular states that physical mentioning of matters before the Registrar General has been suspended till further orders. However, the mentioning of matters through video conferencing will continue.

10,774 new cases were detected in Delhi for the first time, with 48 deaths, since the beginning of the pandemic with the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal issuing a warning that a lockdown may be instituted if hospitals start running out of COVID beds. There have been nearly 60,000 new cases in total in the month of April so far.
