The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on 1st September, 2021 has, on reconsideration, resolved to reiterate its earlier recommendations for elevation of the Advocates as Judges in the following High Courts:

Rajasthan High Court :

  1. Shri Farzand Ali

Calcutta High Court

  1. Shri Jaytosh Majumdar
  2. Shri Amitesh Banerjee
  3. Shri Raja Basu Chowdhury
  4. Smt. Lapita Banerji

Jammu & Kashmir High Court :

  1. Shri Rahul Bharti
  2. Smt. Moksha Kazmi (Khajuria)

Karnataka High Court

  1. Shri Nagendra R. Naik
  2. Shri Aditya Sondhi

Apart from the above, the Collegium has also reiterated the names of 3 judicial officers as the judges of the Allahabad High Court.

1. Shri Om Prakash Tripathi,

2. Shri Umesh Chandra Sharma, and

3. Shri Syed Waiz Mian.

68 Recommendations made for 12 High Courts

Altogether, the 3-member collegium comprising Chief Justice of India NV Ramana, Justice UU Lalit and Justice AM Khanwilkar has made 68 recommendations, including the above said reiterations for 12 High Courts. 44 of them are advocates and 24 are judicial officers.

The recommendations are made for the High Courts of Allahabad, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab & Haryana, Calcutta, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Gauhati, Karnataka, Madras, Kerala and Jammu & Kashmir High Courts.
