"We are getting a lot of complaints that select counsel are being allowed to 'mention'", said Chief Justice S. A. Bobde on Tuesday.

The CJ was addressing senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi who, having appeared before the bench in a matter, sought to mention an unrelated case.
"You are on some other matter? No, no, we are getting a lot of unnecessary complaints that select counsel are being allowed to make mentions", the CJ observed.
"I am only mentioning what Your Lordships had permitted me two weeks ago...", pressed Mr. Rohatgi.
"May be, may be...but you send us an email and we will decide", said the CJ.
"This is a critical issue. That is why I am before you", persisted Mr. Rohatgi.
"So you highlight what is critical in the email. We will read it and decide...we are getting unnecessary complaints...", remarked the CJ.
"Very well. I will send the email today itself. Please see", said Mr. Rohatgi.
