During the last hearing States of Assam, Tripura and Punjab informed the Supreme Court that they have decided to cancel the physical exams proposed by their respective boards for Class 12 in view of the COVID-19 situation.
State of Andhra Pradesh is now the only state government which has not taken a decision on cancellation of Class 12 exams.
The standing counsel of Andhra Pradesh, Advocate Mahfooz Nazki, told the Supreme Court that the state government wants to conduct the physical exams as a matter of policy.

Bench: State of Kerala has filed affidavit stating that principled decision is to take examination already scheduled for class 11th. Counsel for AP submits that appropriate decision will be taken by State and be brought on record by tomorrow.
Adv Mamta Sharma: Karnataka hasn’t filed an affidavit.
Bench: They’ve already canceled.
Sharma: They’ve cancelled for 12th and not class 10th
