J Kotwal : Can the definition of 'harbour' under IPC be looked into?

Maneshinde : There is no definition in NDPS. I did not want your lordship to look at a dictionary when IPC gives a definition.

Maneshinde refers to the definition of 'harbour' under the Indian Penal Code.

Maneshinde : At any point of time, Sushant was under no apprehension of arrest. There is no question of 'harbouring'.

Maneshinde : NCB alleges Rhea harboured Sushant to invoke Section 27A. How does Rhea 'harbour' Sushant when he himself is his own house?

The amount of drugs, your lordships would see, 25 grams for consumption for Sushant. They(Rhea and Sushant) were not dealing to make profit : Maneshinde.

Maneshinde : There is another allegation of drawing Rs 7000 from her account for buying some grams of charas for Sushant.

Maneshinde : The NCB alleges that Rs 10,000 was withdrawn from Rhea's account through her debit card to procure drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput. Whether the drugs were actually brought is not known. This is the base for alleging that she financed procurement of drugs.

Maneshinde : My point is that Sushant was in the habit of drug consumption even before Rhea came to his life. None of the accused persons are consumers of drugs.

J Kotwal : What do you mean 'appear' to have given statements?

Maneshinde : The prosecution is leaking statements to the media. Even my messages were leaked.
